When choosing the car seat for baby, in the first place we shall focus on safety. The car seat LE MANS by CAVOE has I-SIZE homologation. What does it mean?

Safe car seat is one that is properly fitted for a baby and a car. Equally important is its proper mounting in a car. Even the best car seat will not guarantee the optimal safety if this two criteria are not met.

One of the main assumptions of I-SIZE standard is to reduce risk of improper car seat selection and mounting it in a car.

Little objective weight criteria is replaced with child’s height criteria. Every car seat with I-SIZE homologation has to be mounted in a car using ISOFIX system that significantly reduces the risk of making the mounting risk.

Additionally the car seat must allow the baby to travel facing backward until it reaches the height of 75cm. With LE MANS car seat it is possible for baby to travel backwards until it reaches 105 cm of height, which is similar to 18 kg.

Proper locking of most mechanisms indicate green indicators.

The range of crash tests is enlarged with side crash tests and rollover. More advanced mannequins of “Q” type are used for the tests, and they have greater amount of sensors compared to previously used ones of “P” type.

LE MANS is rotating car seat dedicated for children measuring from 40-150 cm of height. Its huge advantage is the possibility for baby to travel rearwards until it reaches 105 cm of height, so weighting up to 18kg.

The tests indicate that it is 5 times safer for baby to travel rearwards instead facing driving direction. Using car seat in such setup requires using supporting leg.

360° rotation function of the car seat is incredibly comfortable and practical.

Due to it we have possibility to set the car seat sideways for the time of seating a baby, which definitely makes this action easier especially when other car is parked next to ours.

Additional advantage is possibility to set the car seat sideways during our stop, for example for the time of feeding a baby.

It is possible for baby to travel forward facing when it reaches 76 cm, but we recommend to set the car seat backwards for as long as it is possible, which is reaching the height of 105 cm or weight of 18 kg.

LE MANS car seat can be mounted forward for two height groups in two different configurations:
For children from 76 cm to 105 cm with 3-point harness and supporting leg
And for children from 105 cm to 150 cm. In this case both support leg and 3-point harness must be hidden in dedicated compartments. A child is protected with vehicle’s seat belt along with whole car seat.

It is incredibly important to set the headrest properly. Shoulder strap should run diagonally above child’s shoulder not at the height of child’s neck.

Additional side protection system has very important purpose. By pressing central button, the pistons of shock absorbing system extends.

They increase safety during side collision of rollover of the car. It is recommended to extend only one piston on the door side.

During the mounting of the car seat forward facing, we can also change the recline angle. We can choose one of three positions depending on child’s height.

When a child travels rearward, the car seat automatically will set itself in one allowed and safe position, so there is any risk that we will make a mistake and set wrong angle.
