Practical advice on the return of furniture and other heavy goods.

The transport of heavy goods, especially furniture, carries a high risk of damage during transport.
Therefore, it is necessary to pack them as carefully as possible before returning them.
If the following instructions are not followed, the customer may be exposed to financial liability resulting from careless packaging of the goods and the resulting damage during return transport - pursuant to art. 34 section 4 of the Act on consumer rights of May 30, 2014, item 827 and pursuant to art. 415 and 548 § 1 of the Civil Code.

• Heavy furniture such as chests of drawers, wardrobes, bookcases, beds is safest to ship on a pallet.
• If such a solution is uneconomical, strong cardboard - preferably original - should be wrapped twice with bubble wrap and all corners should be additionally secured.
• All empty spaces should be filled with polystyrene, foil or paper so that there are no moving parts, which are one of the main reasons for transport damage. If possible, individual elements of the furniture should be separated with cardboard or thick cardboard.
• Particular attention should be paid to metal drawer runners, which should be carefully separated from other furniture.
• All screws, dowels, hinges and other small metal parts should be placed in a separate package.
